ESPACE art actuel is a bilingual contemporary art magazine founded in Montreal in 1987, specializing in art practices related to spatiality, such as sculpture and installation. Published three times a year, it analyzes the aesthetic and political issues of art, including thematic dossiers, interviews, and reviews, acting as a research tool for artists and the public.
Issue 142 explores the theme of "prophecies" in contemporary artistic practices. Through essays and analyses, this dossier examines how artists imagine the future, open temporal breaches, and question the certainties of the present. Between fragmentary visions, symbolic rituals, and new forms of expression, creators become figures of modern oracles. A stimulating edition that examines art's ability to foresee and reinvent the world.
